![]() ![]() In my opinion, the sequel is better than the first game in every way except story/characters, which is enough to make me like the first one more. ![]() I'm sure playing with the RCM makes for a better experience, but I don't think you will dislike the game without it (until after you've played with it, probably). ![]() I've played the second many times over in the past decade, and I've never felt it was incomplete or buggy. Regarding the incompleteness of the second game, I'm known around here for not thinking the RCM is necessary. There's also the ability to gain influence with followers and unlock additional dialogue/bonuses. Mechanics are the same, but the second one implemented additional feats, powers, and a more fleshed-out crafting system. Gameplay-wise, the games are pretty identical. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is often considered one of the greatest video games of all time, and the best Star Wars game ever made. I think the second game feels a lot more mysterious and creepy, with a big focus on gray morality. Story-wise, the first feels more like a traditional Star Wars story, with pretty straightforward good and evil, and a standard questline.
